Vacation: The Best Relief for Stress
What is your concept of “vacation”? Do you go on vacation regularly? Why or why not?
Survey reports that many people often do not take enough vacation every year. There even some who NEVER take them! While there are some who, when they do take vacations, still bring work along with them. Basically it keeps them in the work mindset, eliminating the essence of having a vacation.
What many don’t realize is that having a vacation has benefits for the body, mind, and the whole being. They brush the idea aside considering it to be a luxury or meaningless spending of money and time.
One should go on vacation at least once a year. Here are some of the reasons why:

- Promote overall well-being – According to a research, quality of sleep and mood improved after three days of vacation in comparison with days before having a vacation. Such gains are dependent also on the quality of vacation spent (more personal time and overall satisfaction).
- Keeps one healthy – Taking regular time to recharge batteries can keep stress levels lower and therefore keeps one healthier.
