Survey reports that many people often do not take enough vacation every year.  There even some who NEVER take them!  While there are some who, when they do take vacations, still bring work along with them.  Basically it keeps them in the work mindset, eliminating the essence of having a vacation.

What many don’t realize is that having a vacation has benefits for the body, mind, and the whole being.  They brush the idea aside considering it to be a luxury or meaningless spending of money and time.

One should go on vacation at least once a year.  Here are some of the reasons why:

1. Staves off burnout – Burnout brings a lot of negative effects at work.  If you take regular vacation in order to relax, you are less likely to experience burnout.  You are more likely become more creative and productive than your overworked and under-rested colleagues.
2. Promotes creativity – With a good amount of vacation, one gets to reconnect with one’s self, giving more avenue for self-discovery and getting back to being the best one can be.

1. Life is short.  It may seem a cliché but indeed tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone, so make the most of your precious moment on earth everyday.
2. Bond with your wife or husband and children.  Spend special times with each other and forget about jobs and routines for a day or two.
3. Create a happy experience.  Your children will not be kids forever.  They will be grown ups before you know it.  Make them experience vacation memories they will cherish for the rest of their lives.  Make some good times while you can.
4. Great deals.  There are great deals everywhere.  You just need to find the best one.  Take advantage of travel bargains and deals.  Seize the opportunity.  Do not think that there may be a better time to go for it may never come.
